What is Something Good?

We’re partnering with a whole load of people from across the globe to run a week of events in Gwynfi called Something Good!

Why are we doing Something Good?

Our aim is simple:
- to bless Gwynfi
- to listen and learn
- to serve in practical ways
- to share the hope we’ve found in Jesus in a way that’s real and respectful

Who is behind Something Good?

Run by the White Chapel, we’ll have visitors from different places in Wales and from across the world.

  • Eliza Skaggs

    Children’s Team Leader
    Heartland Church, Indianna

Eliza joins us from the USA and is looking forward to getting involved in every aspect of Something Good! With a passion for working with children and young people, she is excited to lead the After School Club and help create a fun, welcoming, and memorable week for everyone who takes part.

  • Mike Thomas

    Youth Team Leader
    Rumney Chapel, Cardiff

Mike is a Church Pastor from Cardiff and a familiar face at White Chapel, having visited the church on many occasions over the last few years. Passionate about helping young people discover faith and purpose, he will be leading the youth outreach activities throughout Something Good!

  • Liam Graham

    U‍SA Team Leader
    Heartland Church, Indianna ‍

Originally from Wales but now living in the USA, he is a proud Welshman with a heart for sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways. As the driving force behind Something Good!, he has brought together teams from both sides of the Atlantic to serve the Gwynfi community and make a positive difference.

  • Siân Smith

Love Where U Live Team Leader
    Message Wales

Sian works with The Message Wales and is passionate about sharing God's love through practical action. What is happening at Something Good?

Across this week there’ll be activities for everyone. Adults, children and young people. Practical help, spaces for conversation and prayer, community events, and times to hear stories of faith and hope.

Love Where U Live

Want Help? Register Here

Love Where U Live is part of the Something Good! in Gwynfi, where teams and volunteers will be heading out into the community to put love into action in very practical ways.

Throughout the week, our teams will be out and about picking up litter, tidying gardens, and doing whatever they can to help bless local neighbourhoods. Our heart is simple: we want people to know how loved they are, and to serve the community in ways that bring encouragement, dignity, and hope. We believe even small acts of kindness can make a big difference—whether that’s clearing an overgrown garden, refreshing an outdoor space, or helping to tidy up areas that have been overlooked.

If you or someone you know would benefit from a Love Where U Live team coming to help in your garden, or if there is an area in the community that you think could do with some TLC, we would love to hear from you. Please fill in the application form and let us know the details. Once we’ve received your request, we will be in touch to let you know if we’re able to help during the week.

We’re excited to serve Gwynfi, to meet new people, and to be part of blessing this community in practical and meaningful ways through Something Good!

  • Bags of Kindness

Keep an eye out during the week as members of the team go out across the community delivering these bags door-to-door. Each one is filled with a little taste of something special—freshly made American snickerdoodle cookies, some candy, a message of hope, small gifts, and, most importantly, a whole lot of love.

Something good really is coming to Gwynfi!

The Faith Space Van is a mobile outdoor youth club rolling into Gwynfi for the Something Good! week – and it’s all about giving young people a place to chill, have fun and be themselves.

At the Van you’ll find games, loads of sports equipment, activities, space to sit and chat, and a friendly team from across the world who actually want to listen to what life’s like for you. You can come with your mates, or on your own and meet new people.

Stay for ten minutes or the whole session – it’s up to you.

You don’t have to be “religious” or part of any church to come. There’s no pressure, no lectures, just a safe, relaxed space where you can:

    • Play games and take part in activities

    • Grab a seat, a snack and a chat

    • Talk honestly about life, faith and questions (if you want to)

If you’re in High School the Faith Space Van is for you.

  • One Big Question

Monday 22nd to Thursday 25th June
    6:00pm to 8:00pm
    At the Miner’s Institute

Every day during Something Good! we’re running a relaxed session called One Big Question – a space for anyone who’s ever wondered about the big stuff in life and wanted the freedom to explore it honestly.

You don’t need to be religious, know the Bible, or even be sure what you believe. Whether you’re curious about faith for the first time, carrying doubts, frustrated with religion, searching for hope, returning to church after years away, or simply trying to make sense of life, you are genuinely welcome.

So come as you are. Bring your questions, your experiences, your doubts and your curiosity. Grab a drink, pull up a chair, and join us as together we explore life’s One Big Questions.

We believe that prayer and worship are central to all that we do, and this evening is a key moment in the week as we come together to seek God, lift up the name of Jesus, and celebrate all that He is doing in Gwynfi.

This will be an evening of encounter, worship, and praise, with space for people to experience God’s presence in a real and meaningful way. Our heart is simply to create an atmosphere where people can meet with God, find hope, and be encouraged.

Please do come along, bring a friend, and be part of this special evening—we would love to see you there.
